MORETON SAY PARISH COUNCIL

 Minutes of a parish council meeting held on Tuesday 12th July 2011 at 7.3p.m in The Clive Memorial Hall.

 1)         Members Present:- Cllrs J M Davies, D Shaw, K Martin, A Porter, Cllr P Wynne ( Shropshire Council)

2)         Apologies:- Cllr C Dutton

3)         To approve and sign the minutes of the previous meetings.

            A G M -           proposed these be accepted by Cllr D Shaw seconded by Cllr K Martin

            Parish Council meeting – proposed these be accepted by Cllr D Shaw seconded by Cllr K Martin

           All in agreement- motion carried.

4)         Matters Arising                      None

 5)         Declaration of Personal /Prejudicial Interest                      None

 6)         LJC Meeting report – Cllr  C Dutton had attended- it will be more difficult to obtaining funding with more match funding but there are still funds available.

7)         Highways-      Local Maintenance Plan 2011/12 – surface dressing a) A41 roundabout to Bletchley dual carriageway b) Calverhall to Styche c) A41 to Moreton Say

            Highways reported that trees are inspected every 5 years on all A & B roads.

Pot holes were reported on the Longford to Longslow road

Overhanging trees were reported on the Longford to Moreton Say road and Smythemoor to Moreton Say road – highways will be notified on these

 8)         Planning -  a) Muller – no further developments

             b)  New applications & Decisions

             11/00449/FUL – Erection of agricultural portal framed storage building Green Bank Farm, Ternhill, TF9 3PX. Parish Council objected                   Permission granted 2/7/11

            11/01622/FUL – Installation of 14 no Photovoltaic panels to the south west roof elevation of the farm dairy building. Ford Hall Community Land Initiative Limited. Parish Council – no objections        Permission granted 20/6/11

            11/02344/FUL – Erection of stable block. Fabric Cottage, Longford. TF9 3PN. Parish Council – no objections

            11/02127/FUL- erection of a two storey rear extensions; installation of ground mounted PV solar panels. Whitegates Farm, Bletchley Road, Moreton Wood SY13 4PX.  Parish Council – no objections

         c) Site Allocation & Management of Development ( SAMDev) Plan

 It was unanimously decided that Moreton Say should be a cluster and go for Option B on the plan – 10 – 50 dwellings ( equal to about 1 – 3 a year)

 Financial Matters  it was proposed by Cllr D Shaw & seconded by Cllr A Porter – all in favour that the following motions be carried.

a) payment of energy charges for street lighting to Shropshire Council by Direct Debit

 b) request from the Millennium Pool for a grant of £350.00

 c) the following accounts be paid

11        Communications & Consultation

            Cllr Davies reported that she is applying to the LJC for monies for a new kitchen  & had also signed up for Vodaphone text giving for the village hall. 2011 is the 100th anniversary of the hall  & a new kitchen is being installed and there will be celebrations later in the year.

             2012 is the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the parish council will look into Commemorative items for this.

             The chairman thanked Mr Lester for opening up the demountable classroom for the members to view – it was agreed it was a fantastic facility.
